HQFU is the electro alias of Glasgow-based artist Sarah J Stanley. Having toured the Scottish folk circuit for a number of years, she has now focussed her talents on production.
Stanley describes her current work as “A mix of high BPM, fun, dirty and dark electro sounds. There is, as always a lot of sadness and sounds made from the spoils of my darkest places, in lieu of having anything else to do with those moments, I have to believe there is an authenticity to my music because I really give a shit about making it and I hope that comes across.”
Channelling her folk music’s beauteous side, HQFU is fuelled by a spitball of irrepressible hardcore energy. She uses multi-instrumental talents to make maximalistic, gutsy, yet sincere electronica.

Ladytron’s last album was a cybergothic masterpiece. Time's Arrow doesn't quite have that dark compelling thread, but there are some fine tracks and superb production. Poodlepop

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hear you in Lublin.
I drove across the country for the show and I was not disappointed.
Your music has been with me since I was a child. There is no other band like Ladytron. :) todevara

[LADYTRON 4] [R 2019.08.30]
[5 Tr] [31m10s]
["Far From Home" is the 4th track from the album "Ladytron" (2019)]
__[1] Lucas Frota Remix - Blakkat Edit: no vocals. Dynamic and dreamy, with nice details.
__[2] Dave The Hustler Remix: nice 80's retro vibe. My fav remix.
__[3] Wetworks Remix: quite dark, with eerie effects... I like it.
__[4] Hiroko Yamamura & Eric Elvambuena Remix: more conventional remix, but not bad.
__[5] Lucas Frota Remix: (almost) no vocals. More raw than the Blakkat Edit. ★ I want my collection sorted!!! ★
